Dear all,

Sorry to interfer, but I have to be honest and clear regarding Monaco Dance
Forum and last e-mail sent by Jean-Marc Matos. The real team who has been
efficiently working on it for five years desserves it. The point is that the
main concept of the Monaco Forum is that it doesn't belong to anybody, not
even to Jean-Marc. This event has to be build by the participants
themselselves and no one can assume it as a "creator", or, if he does, it's
clear that he never understood the concept. That's why I take the
opportunity to give some details, even if annoying. To definitly explain the
organisation and make clear that the personal and egoistic position of some
people have nothing to do with the spirit of this event. As director of
Monaco Dance Forum, I have been asked in 1998 to think about a new concept
for dance adapted to a new location being buildt in Monaco: the Grimaldi
Forum. I proposed this concept gathering around dance all kind of arts forms
extensions being connected to dance (multimedia, audiovisual, photography,
touring, job etc...). What is not new. The difference is that the
governbement gave me the real financial means to do something. In 1998, I
asked Philippe Baudelot to make the concept of the multimedia and
audiovisual activities, regarding his knowhow on this field. Philippe
defined the whole sector and put on the call for proposal as well as the
contents of the panels for the first edition. He did it to help, knowing
that he was not available to go on with us this year and fixed everything.
So I asked Jean-Marc Matos to follow up the project with me and check the
results of the call for proposal. What he did and more he asked me to
schedule one of his performances within our general performances program.
What I did, I assyme it, . Not more. I don't have to tell more about this,
except that Jean-Marc never initiated anything. I can't imagine anyone
crying for being the first in Monaco Dance Forum, since it has no sense
within this event which aims to be a gathering of ideas, proposals and
projects. I don't feel confortable in writing myself but I think necessary
to prevent any tentative to master anything on this event. We try to be
"clever" tools to build someting together. That's all and I hope too
personal requests regarding this particular event will stop!

Thanks to all of you who participated in last Monaco Dance Forum. I know
that everything whas not perfect but I can ensure that, with your help, we
will manage to do more.
