dear dance tech,

just a few quick notes about monaco (mddf)...

this was an incredible event. i dont think there has ever been a
more "thorough" gathering of our community and i want to compliment
the organizers for accomplishing this herculean task!

i want to address the first-timers who maybe traveled halfway around
the world only to have their presentation attended by two or three
people or indeed by no one at all! I just wanted to say to you this:
YOU WERE NOT ALONE. i talked to a half-dozen presenters who had made
this experience - some of whom had presented truly interesting and
important work. i talked to one couple who even missed their own
presentation because of a schedule change.

well, some of the confusion which caused this is surely inevitable
with an event on this scale. on the other side, some of it could
probably have been avoided.

i will be in contact with the organizers in days to come with my
impressions and suggestions for the next time. i would like to
invite anyone who wants to, to please send me your notes and i will
pass them on.

Regards to all,
robert
