Hello everyone,

I am working on getting a grant for the Dance Centre in Vancouver that will
outfit it with technology for dance. Originally, to the community here
(mainly the board), this ment theatrical lighting, sound, drapes, and pipes.
They have a beautiful space, room for two theaters, rehearsal spaces etc. I
suggested a plan to incorporate more interesting technologies, Intelligent
Stage type technologies: motion sensing, motion capture, telematics, video,
media production, interactive media, etc.

My problem is that I have to convince them that this is something they
should do. The bid has already gone to the government, but the board still
needs convincing, and even more important, the local civil servants need to
see the merit to the community.

What I would like to support my case:

1. Can everyone who is doing dance tech work send me a one paragraph/one
line description of what your doing with a link to your work, or links to
where your work is being done?

2. What venues are out there that specifically support dance-tech, or even
theater-tech?

Maybe if this grant comes through, Vancouver could be a regular place for
IDAT future.

Thanks all,

Robb Lovell
