I would like to invite everyone try out êyês for MAX.

Êyês is a set of MAX objects designed to solve image understanding problems.
Its like Jitter, NATO, or Very Nervous System (VNS) in that it processes
video, and its like Cyclops and VNS in that it is made to work with live
video input for the purpose of extracting information about an environment.

Specifically some of the things êyês can do with a live camera signal are:

Track objects in the image. (x, y, velocity, extents, size, etc.)
Operate on region lists (lists of tracked objects).
Track based on color, intensity, or motion.
Apply various operators to an image:
         Threshold, filter, normalize etc.
     Adaptive background subtraction.
Detect the amount of motion in a scene.
Look at particular areas of the video to make "sensors" in video.
Sensors can be rectangles, lines, or polygons.
Sensors can be processed with many of the êyês operators.
Do graphics effects: ascii, words, stillness.
     Interface to and from Jitter.
Its extendable with an SDK and examples.

Êyes is available at http://www.squishedeyeball.com.

Let me know if you like it!
