Hello to all of you: I have been a "silent reader" of the dance- tech list for many months now. (enjoyed the discussions going on...). I am a choreographer-videomaker and live in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I am currently working on a project that involves interactivity in various ways. There is one aspect that worries me most and have not yet been able to solve: I want to make two pieces of furniture sensitive to pressure connected through MIDI to a MAXmsp program that would respond with sound. It cannot work with I-Cube since the furniture needs to be moved around freely with no cables attached. Question 1: Do you know of a Wireless Midi transfer system available? (I know that several artists have worked out their own solutions to their specific needs. And that Diem sells an incredibly expensive system that sends information from bend sensors on the body. Also, that MIDIMAN is working on a system, Mid Air, that is not yet finished or available). Question 2; Do you know what sensor would be most appropriate to sensitively measure the quality of touch? It should be able to sense in a fairly graduated way different pressure values on an extended surface area.(without being too bulky) I would appreciate any information. Margarita Bali
