Yes, the famous piece Critter (also called videoplace) of Myron 
Krueger... It is indeed very difficult to find information and 
especially images of this piece on the internet. I would like to 
include some links on the web site I maintain on artificial systems 
in art (http://www.gratin.org/), but all I could find was these pages 
that only remotely speak about this important piece :
