Maybe of interest for some of you:
our EyesWeb software is freely available for download (incl documentation)
from our web site: http://infomus.dist.unige.it
EyesWeb is an open software platform that we developed during the last four
years after our experience with our HARP system.
Basically, it consists of a development system (a visual environment to
build patches in some aspects similar to Opcode Max, csound etc and a Wizard
sw enabilng users to develop new modules, datatypes, and libraries) and a
runtime system for real time performance.
A library for realtime processing of videocamera data, and of data from
other sensors (see our web pages) is included, as well as a sound library
including Steinberg VST compatibility (so you may use your preferred
plugins).
The system in its current and previous versions has been used in many public
events (eg 1999 Salzburg Festival, opening opera by Luciano Berio, on-stage
interaction and technology; several permanent museum installations; several
dance performances, eg with Virgilio Sieni dance company in 1999 and 2001).
EyesWeb users are more than 200 (in our knowledge).

Maybe it is of interest for the list also the research work we are doing to
include in EyesWeb our motion analysis techniques and modules loosely
inspired to Laban's "Effort" concepts and emotional/expressive content in
movement (see www.megaproject.org and the "Publications" page in our web
site). This will be included in the distribution page before December 20.
A s/w patch for upgrade to the version 2.4.1 will be also released within
December.

A free newsgroup for EyesWeb users is also freely available (for bugs,
questions, patches exchange among users etc). You may subscribe from our
EyesWeb web page.
If any of you is interested and wish to contribute with new modules and
libraries to share with us and the whole users community is very welcome.

Best regards
