Dance/Technology Survey; Pleading for responses

From: Kerry DiLeonardo (kerrydi@postoffice.pacbell.net)

Hello!

As is common with surveys, I've had relatively few responses to the survey
I sent out last week. I am intending to examine how the use of technology
impacts the creative process, and our role as artists. I would appreciate a
response if you can possibly spare the time (10 minutes or so).

If a phone interview would assist in any way, I would be happy to make the
call.

Please send responses to me directly, at kerrydi@pacbell.net. I've included
the survey in the body of this e-mail. Thank you again,

Kerry DiLeonardo

Hi,

I am a dancer/choreographer and graduate student at San Jose State
University and am conducting research concerning the use of computer
technology in dance. I am asking for your input, for a paper I am writing
this term. I hope you'll take a few moments of your time to complete this
survey and e-mail it back to me. Please let me know if you are interested
in receiving the results of my survey. I greatly appreciate your time and
assistance.

I. Briefly describe any work you have created, within the last three
years, which involves the use of performance technology. Specifically, I am
inquiring about work where the use of computer technology has been an
integral part of the performance, and excluding instances where the
computer is used in traditional lighting, notation or choreography.

II. What was your experience of the process?

A) from the viewpoint of:

	choreographer?

	dancer/performer?

other creative professionals involved with the work?

B) How was this project different from your works which have not utilized
this technology?

	1)How were your options/choices impacted?

2)How did it affect the time frame and scheduling?

3)How did it affect choice of performing venue? rehearsal facility?

	4)How was the budget impacted?

III. Overall...

A) What problems or difficulties did you encounter?

B) What level of computer literacy do you possess?

C) What feedback have you received regarding this project?

D) Is there anything else you wish to add?

Thank you, again, for your assistance with my project. I greatly appreciate
your time and thought.
