If you're comfortable working with Director, you can use a midi Xtra
like Mark Coniglio's Xmidi to listen to BigEye midi data over the IAC
bus.

Alternatively, you can use Danny Rozin's "Track Them Colors" Xtra:

It's not as easy to use as BigEye and has little or no interface, but
it does run entirely within Director so you don't have to worry about
midi or dealing with the IAC bus.

One thing to keep in mind -- video processing takes a great deal of a
computer's resources. Running a program like BigEye or Track them
colors will use most of your computer's CPU. Unless you have a newer
G4, your computer will run very slowly when it tries to process
digital video AND digital audio.
