Heartbeats...

We were using heartbeats in a couple of performances. We were not using
microphones, instead we are using polar belts (the ones used in fitness
studios). That means, you don't get the heart sound, only the beat
information. We developed a little receiver for the polar belt
transmission. The receiver forwards the heartbeat information to a
analog transmitter, the ones used by musicians for guitar/vocals etc.
You need that second transmission, because the polar belt itself just
ranges less than a meter. That means you are actually wearing three
pieces of equipment (polar belt, receiver, analog transmitter).

At the moment i'm working on a much smaller digital system, but it won't
be finished before mid october, because we are travelling right now.

please feel free to write again if you need more information
