Hi Jamie, I came upon your note while going over old archives of the Dance-Tech list. I have used David Rokeby's softVNS for several large-scale dance productions over the last five years, as well as, for numerous classes with disabled kids - in classroom, stage, and hospital settings. softVNS is a motion-sensing system that is very sensitive and gives accurate measurements of location and speed. The latest version also adds color tracking and object tracking. The software works in conjunction with Max, so movements are able to trigger sounds, music, or video clips/processing. My latest dance work includes NATO video processing and MSP sound processing created by movement on stage. softVNS can be calibrated for various light and movement restrictions. It is a great creative tool for someone with limited mobility or coordination. You can find more info by searching for softVNS or David Rokeby. best of luck, Todd Winkler >Hello. >My name is Jamie Boyle. I am a dancer who is physically disabled >due to Rheumatoid Arthritis.
