 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS OF STUDENT WORKS FOR 3RD ANNUAL DANCE FOR THE CAMERA
 FESTIVAL AND WORKSHOP AT THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH IN SALT LAKE CITY.

 For the first time, in conjunction with its annual International Dance for
 the Camera Festival and Workshop, The University of Utah Department of
 Modern Dance is pleased to announce that it will be accepting for
 adjudication, student submissions of original dance works made specifically
 for the medium of video or film. Also being accepted are:

 ... staged works remade for the camera (not a documentation of a
 performance)
 ... dance documentaries (productions which include interviews or other
 educational elements in addition to choreography)
 ... work that extends the boundaries of the medium and can exist only in the
 realm of video, film, or new technologies.

 Applicants must be or have been enrolled in a full time university
 undergraduate or graduate degree program when the work was made. All entries
 must be received by Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at 5:00 pm. This year's
 Festival dates are September 28-30, with the evening of student works to
 take place on Sunday, September 30th. Each submission must include a $10
 adjudication fee (payable to the University of Utah), and a self-addressed
 stamped envelope for the return of your tape. Only NTSC VHS or SVHS format
 will be accepted. The application is attached to this announcement and will
 be available to download from our website: http://www.dance.utah.edu
