Choreographer Bill T. Jones and multimedia artist/designer Paul Kaiser
to Participate in Lectures on Dance and Motion Capture, OSU, Columbus,
Ohio.
With special guests Lisa Naugle and Scott deLahunta.

Noted choreographer Bill T. Jones, who is bringing his New York-based
Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Co. to Ohio State for a performance of
"You Walk?" (Saturday, April 21, Wexner Center) will participate in
several lectures exploring dance and technology while on campus this
month.
The lectures, presented by the OSU Department of Dance in partnership
with the Wexner Center for the Arts, will explore dance and motion
capture, and will include references to the astonishing "Ghostcatching,"
by Jones and Paul Kaiser, which was created with motion capture. A
public round table discussion about dance and technology also will be
presented. This event cycle is to celebrate the initiation of new motion
capture technology research in dance and the arts at USU.

the OSU Department of Dance.
These lectures are part of the Interactive Performance Series
created by Birringer to bring visiting artists to OSU who will share
their groundbreaking work combining dance and new technologies. Their
research and experimentation have applications in many interdisciplinary
areas, including the arts, theatre, medicine, physics, computer science,
