Dear List,
after 2 years of collective work a book about the relationship
between dance and technology was published in Italian (at the moment).
A french edition is being prepared. We a re looking for help in order
to find the right contacts for an English/American edition

(it publishes, for instance, the catalogue of the Venice Biennale and

The book has been financed by the Italian Province of Bolzano
where Emanuele Quinz and I organized in july 1999 a small symposium
about dance and technology. This book is the "expanded"
proceedings" of the '99 symposium.

The editors
Armando Menicacci is teaching in the Paris
8 Dance Department where he founded in 1998 a Technology Section. With
Emanuele Quinz he organized during the Festival Bolzano Danza the
International Smposium Danza & Nuove Tecnologie (1999) end
the section of the Dance Feztival Movimenti sensibili - danza e
interattività (Roma 2000). He edited a few other musicological
books and the music section of the Dictionnaire de la Danse,
Larousse, 1999.
Emanuele Quinz is teaching Esthetics of the
digital arts in the Dance and Music Dempartment of Paris 8 University.
Multimedia artist, founder of anomos (an assosiation of people
interested in the relationship between arts and digital media) he's
the chief editor of "Anomalie digital_arts", a magazine on
the same topics.
