<x-charset iso-8859-1>To Johannes Birringer and all;

it was nice to see you in texas!

Just wanted to correct a small point in your report: my software was
actually the only thing which _did_ arrive on time. Missing was our
computer which was lost by the airlines. (and is still lost!). The
harddrive always travels in my carry-on.
Frieder Weiss, our computer engineer, was never expected. I was to present
a few interactive pieces together with the TCU students and with the help
of the fine technical personnel at the theater (Dallas and Frank).

In any case, I apologize again for the dissappoint this snafu caused.

The point I made at the start of my talk was that one of the things I had
always enjoyed about this profession was that when we leave our home to go
to work and think over "do I have everything?", the question used to be
easy -- for we always have our bodies with us! Even if maybe a costume
part is forgotten, we could always be assured that the show-critical thing
was always at hand.
I mused at the sad reality of how a lost bag, some chips of selenium, could
bring down my performance. Is that progress?

With friendly regards,
Robert
