so we need to know our digits and language and code words,
for credit cards and credit/s in the arts.

while working hard to recycle what waste and trash we produce
(no second layer of discriminatory hints intended) ----

-----but we can of course say, when it comes to information, we 'forward' and
'paste', and avoid calling it 'recycle'.

or, we might suggest to call re-sponding... MIDI-ing.

(although, as tech metaphors tend to, it describes less than what we do.)

Re: food for thought,

Re, two letters identical, while not obvious the derivation (ab-lative)
from res, the thing, matter, subject ----

----shall it be safer then to write out translations, 'in the thing', 'on
the subject/ matter of' ...?

how about a babylon program, updateable and upgradeable,
automatically editing our language and ...thinking.

(btw, it would have to know that re-duction is a very ok notion and word)

(or is that out of fashion)

to close on a non-reductive note,

con-figure is adequate - and fine thing/s addressed, intended by - - -

..and w h a t would we do without RE-LATING ? ! !

best wishes indeed,

Iris

PS: for those of you interested in (German)/ language/ culture,
i have been observing a frequent use in intellectual circuits of the word
"beliebig", (which can signify: freely selected /as it pleases you/ randomly
chosen, or anything goes), implying the worst kind of criticism in
contemporary art, similarly disqualifying as David suggests about "re-".

what I find interesting here: the central adjective "lieb" (- likewise a
never-to-be-said as description, goody-goody ) actually means dear, "Liebe"
is love;
and further variations: lieblich, liebevoll, liebreizend, liebenswert,
liebenswuerdig
(~ lovely, loving, charming, loveable, endearing etc) - are all 'old
vocabulary' and totally out of fashion.

now what does that perhaps say about what we value, .....or care to and dare
to admit - - ???

....
