<x-flowed>Johannes,
Thanks for your comprehensive report.

I'd like to raise some alterity however, which is meant not so much as a
challenge. Simply opposition..... so we can get both sides on the virtual
table of this discussion list.

The points you brought to the roundtable on “Technology in Choreography and
Performance,” in the
“Environments” workshop you taught....

ie. (1) through (5) balance very nicely around the last word appearing in
point (3)....

That would be the word "hierarchical"
                            /\
                           / \
                          / \
                         /______\

and I find most of what you've reported about here to be just that.

Also be aware that media technologies are inherently hierarchical, and for
as much as our idealism would have it otherwise, UTTERLY UNBALANCED!

Scary huh?

My motivation for this reply stems from awareness of what happened in the
literary world from the 70's... ie. the mounting of *L*A*N*G*U*A*G*E* poetry
and ITS poets to those very well oiled seats.

Curious CORrelations and CONnections are CUREntly being evidenced in the
Dance Tech world (to which particular discussion this list is servant, I
might add)....and WHICH, I happen to know, is a crucial FiEld, gathering
interest, "A"rt-istically speaking.

Thanks again for the stimulating report.

Spectfully
