Space inter:face

Life both sides of the virtual wall are explored during Space inter:face at
the green room, Manchester, on Thursday 19 October - a three part evening of
performance, demonstration and discussion. From Web to stage to CD and back
again, Space inter:face asks what happens when realms collide.

Viking Shoppers by Igloo

Inspired by the physical, spiritual and cultural landscapes of Iceland, this
extraordinary hybrid performance mixes live and virtual digital dancers with
image and sound. Igloo are digital artist Bruno Martelli and choreographer
Ruth Gibson, and for Viking Shoppers, are joined by a group of international
artists.

Guest House by Uninvited Guests

Uninvited Guests demonstrate their re-staging of the performance Guest House
as a new, interactive CD-ROM. The spectator becomes the player in virtual
space, wandering freely through rooms drawn together from other peoples'
memories - triggering sound, video clips, text and computer animation. Using
Web 3D technology and Quicktime video, Guest House is an innovative approach
to documenting ephemeral live work. A free limited edition of the CD will be
available. Guest House is commissioned by da2 Bristol and Digital Summer.

www.doublehapines2.com by Bodies In Flight / Spell#7

The final part of Space inter:face sees a short public eavesdropping into
the Double Happiness web site. Here the long distance on-line relationships
can be followed prior to there conclusion at a live performance by Bodies In
Flight / Spell#7 at Contact on Saturday 21 October.
