Diane, Yes, Dancing with the Mouse would be worthwhile .... Some of the workshops will focus on creating choreography with "interactive" enviornments, animation software, digital video, etc. Also dance educators/choreographers will be showing examples of their work in lecture-demonstrations and informal performances. Best, Lisa Naugle >I am wondering if any of you have a sense of whether the upcoming Dance With >the Mouse Conference promises to be a worthwhile event for those of us >primarily focussed on the choreographic domain of this dance-tech world. I >received the brochure which reads that the conference is aimed at dance >educators. I have a hard time being able to tell if the workshops and >symposia scheduled would also potentially be of relevant to >dancers/choreographers who want to explore dance and technology. >Thanks for any feedback on this one. >Diane ===================================== Lisa Naugle Assistant Professor Dance and Technology University of California, Irvine School of the Arts, Department of Dance MAB 300 Irvine, California 92697-2775 email: lnaugle@uci.edu tel: (949) 824-3209 fax: (949) 824-4563 http://www.arts.uci.edu/lnaugle/
