Dear Group,

It is hard to overlook the poignancy: If you could say there was a place
that modern dance was born, i think this would be it. Mary Wigman, Rudolph
Laban and others and others found the space and support to develop their
work at this impressive site.

It was occupied by the Russians after world war II -- you can still see
Russian graffitti and communist "art work" on some of the walls. Grass now
grows up through the pavement, and hallowed halls look like Jackson Pollacks
as one paint job peels off after the next.

Meanwhile our sleeping rooms are fitte for ethernet (not yet on).
Rennovation is just getting underway -- the job is truly enormous.

This is site for the "Koerper - computer - Interaktion" workshop, sponsored
by ComptecArt in Dresden. It has just begun.

Johannes Birringer is here, as is Guenther _____ a brain researcher from
Stuttgart Institiute for Brain Research.
