Cheers, Mark ------ Troika Ranch will perform their latest dance/theater/media work "The Chemical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz" on June 15th - 18th at the HERE Arts Center, 145 Sixth Avenue (at Dominick St., between Spring and Broome) in Manhattan. The Chemical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz is an evening-length dance, theater, and media work that examines what is lost and gained in the moment of transformation. Most of us have experienced a painful loss of innocence that leads to a deepening of wisdom. And even though we appreciate the ultimate richness that such experiences bring to our lives, we also mourn for what was lost as a result. The Chemical Wedding examines this human process by presenting the metamorphosis of parallel characters separated by 500 years: one transformed by the ancient, spiritually-rich technology of alchemy, the other through a secular, future technology of cybernetic reconstitution. The June 15th performance is a benefit, and will be immediately followed by a party with food in drinks in the theater. Tickets for this benefit performance are $40.
