to conduct general administration of national office. Duties: Ten month
position to oversee sponsorship of regional college dance festivals and
the planning, execution and presentation of a biannual national
festival at the Kennedy Center. Requirements: Knowledge of dance,
preferably in higher education, strong interpersonal skills, experience
with

volunteer-based and/or service organization, previous work with board
of directors and fundraising record. Macintosh skills and financial

<underline>Executive Director's Duties and
Responsibilities</underline>

 


I. National Festival: Oversee the planning, execution, scheduling and
all performance-related elements of the biennial national festivals.


II. Regional festivals:  Maintain close contact with and serve as
resource for VP/Regional Planning for the successful planning and
execution of regional festivals.


III. Monitor Board members' responsibilities: See that the tasks and
responsibilities of all Board members are being completed.


IV. Fundraising: Work to secure funds to successfully carry out the
organization's program and activities.  Insure that adequate
contributed income goals is raised to balance annual operating budget.


V. Memberships: recording, invoicing, brochure, mailing list
maintenance and development; solicitations - Board, advisors,
individuals.


VI. Financial Management: Develop and implement annual operating
budget; monitor monthly income and expenses; work with treasurer on
financial statements; submit all necessary State and Federal
registrations and tax requirements.


VII. Publications:  Oversee the publication of the festival handbook,
membership brochure, annual report, festival selling packet, and
publish the annual board directory.


VIII. PR/Publicity:  Maintain relationships with other national dance
and service

organizations; maintain organization's national exposure through press
releases; maintain contact with national press.


IX. Other

 o maintain correspondence;
