I thought of answering this privately, but I figure there may be others who
don't know.  Apologies to those who do.

The I-Cube is a sensor interface box built around the Motorola 68HC11
microcontroller.  It is marketed by Infusion Systems, a company set up by
researcher Axel Mulder.  He's written a number of interesting papers about
motion capture systems in music and dance performance, a number of which
are available at Simon Fraser University's web site.  I don't have a URL
handy right now, but you might find a link from the Infusion Systems site.
