New York City July 24 - 28, 2000
Santa Fe, New Mexico July 31 - August 4, 2000
Santa Fe, New Mexico August 7 - 11, 2000

New York City based dance theater company Troika Ranch will present
three sessions of its Live-Interactive (Live-I) Workshop, an
intensive seminar for artists and advanced students who want to
explore the use of interactive computer technology in the creation
and performance of dance, theater, and related live artworks. The
first workshop will begin in New York on July 24th, 2000, while the
remaining two will occur in Santa Fe, New Mexico, starting on July
31st and August 7th. Cost of the workshop is $400 for the New York
session, $500 for the Santa Fe sessions.

Led by Mark Coniglio and Dawn Stoppiello, Artistic Co-Directors of
Troika Ranch, the workshop gives the participants the opportunity to
experiment with technological tools that allow their gestures and
vocalizations to interactively control video, sound, light and other
computer controllable media. Participants will be given an
introduction the available technological tools and the techniques
required to use them as they create short studies over the course of
the workshop. This work will be complimented by critical discussions
regarding how the use of media and technology shapes the form and
content the artwork. To help participants continue their explorations
after the workshop has ended, each will be given a copy of Interactor
LPT, one of the core software tools taught during the workshop.

Registration for the Live-I Workshop is limited. Only fifteen
participants can be accepted for any week long session. For
