Hello all
Can anyone help??
Recently I've been looking into the 'Stamp' Chip. It is possible to use
'i-cube' sensors of any sort and just patch them in to the board.
I was wondering, is it possible to plug these sensors into the Alesis D4/M5
??? It
would be a simpler option for me than building and programming a whole
'Stamp' set
up.
I am pritty sure that I have seen this done - Plugging in any sensor to the
Alesis D4 as opposed to just Piezo elements or drum pads.
As you probably already know the simple 'i-cube' sensors are made up of 2
resistors (one being the chosen sensor).
There are 3 wires which need to plug in;
- a ground -
- a live -
-and the one with the results of the 2 resistors comparisons -
(sorry for my under developed electronics language).
Does one need to solder the D4 jack plug with the gnd wire and the results
wire ?
do you need to provide an external 5v power supply?
And finally can the D4 process and cope with this type of information???
I hope someone can help me out.
